Virlow is now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The app is native, built in Swift, with no web view, and it opens the same notes, workspaces, folders and AI memories you already have on the web.

The headline is Memories. Your AI assistants learn things about you and your work every day. On your phone, you can now see what they learned this week, keep what is right and fix what is off, wherever you are.

Memories, in your pocket

Claude, ChatGPT and your other connected assistants save what they learn to Virlow, encrypted like your notes. The Memories screen on iPhone and iPad turns that into something you can check in a minute while you wait for a coffee. Saving memories is part of Virlow Pro; on the free plan, Memories shows what Pro adds.

On the left, the Memories screen on iPhone: Your AI learned 14 things this week, from Claude and ChatGPT, a card with 14 new memories to review, the memory graph, and people and projects. On the right, reviewing one memory, Atlas launch date, saved by Claude two hours ago, with Forget, Fix and Keep buttons.

This week. The top of the screen tells you what your AI learned this week, which assistants it came from, and what is waiting for your review.

The review deck. New memories come up one card at a time. Swipe right to keep, left to forget, or tap Fix to correct it in place. Undo is one tap away.

People and projects. Every person and project your memories mention gets its own page: what is true now, what changed and when, and the memories behind each fact. Memories know thirteen kinds of thing, from people, projects and organizations to tools, places, events, topics, products, media, pets, groups and goals, plus Other for everything else.

The memory graph. Pinch to zoom, drag to look around, filter by kind, and tap a dot to open its page.

Sort out untyped names. Sometimes an assistant saves a name without saying what it is. Virlow lists those names, suggests a kind where your own memories point one way, and lets you confirm them together. You can also copy a ready-made prompt and let a connected AI sort out the rest.

Remember from anywhere

You can tell Virlow something yourself, and every connected assistant can recall it. Name who or what it is about, so it shows up on their page and in the graph.

  • The + button. Write a memory from the Memories screen.
  • The share sheet. Share text or a link from any app and choose Memory instead of Note.
  • Siri and Shortcuts. Say "Remember in Virlow" to save a fact, or ask "What does Virlow remember" about a person, project or topic.
On the left, the Remember sheet on iPhone: the fact Dana prefers written updates to meetings, Applies to Everywhere, and Dana added as who it is about. On the right, the share sheet's Remember in Virlow mode, with Memory chosen over Note.

The Recently learned widget puts the latest memories on your Home Screen, with where each one came from and a + to write a new one. It follows your widget privacy setting: with note titles off, it shows only how many memories are new.

The Recently learned widget in two sizes: a medium widget listing the latest memories and where they came from, and a small widget that only counts 5 new memories this week because note titles are off.

Encrypted on your phone, like on the web

Your notes are encrypted on the device with your master password, the same way they are in the browser. Unlock with Face ID or Touch ID instead of typing it each time, and the app locks itself again when you step away.

Changes sync live between your devices, and you can see when another device, or Claude, is in the same note. The app works offline too: write, and even start new notes, on a plane or in a tunnel. Everything syncs when you are back online.

As on the web, two optional features send content off your device: the hosted AI connector, which decrypts on Virlow's server while you have it unlocked so web AI apps can use your notes, and code execution, which runs your code on Virlow's service. The security page has the details.

The full editor, not a lite one

Headings, lists and checklists, links between notes, images, tables you can edit, and code blocks with syntax colors and code you can run. A formatting toolbar sits above the keyboard. Add files to a note or take a photo with the camera, go back to an earlier version of a note, and act on notes right from the list with a swipe.

On iPad, your workspaces, the note list and the note you are reading sit side by side. With a hardware keyboard, the shortcuts you expect work: Command N for a new note, Command B for bold and Command K for a link.

Your workspaces, your way

Give each workspace a color or an emoji. Filter a note list by starred, attachments, tags or the workspace's own properties, and sort it by date, title or starred. The properties and tags are the same ones you set on the web.

The app has the web's themes, each in light and dark: Paper, Fjord, Sepia, Midnight, Forest, Rosé, Ember, Typewriter and Graphite. Your theme follows you to the web and your other devices. A color glow can sit behind the header of the home screen and your note lists: Aurora, Accent, or off. Inside a workspace, it glows in the workspace's own color. The glow is set on each device.

To-do, Storage and the assistant

To-do has the same lists as on the web: My Day, Important, Planned, Tasks and your own. Give a task a due date and steps, and My Day shows what is due today and what is overdue. The home screen puts your notes, memories, to-dos and Storage one tap away.

On the left, My Day on iPhone: Book the train to Porto, starred and due today, with 1 of 3 steps done, and an overdue task to call the landlord about the lease. On the right, the same task open, with its steps, Added to My Day, a reminder, Due Today and a note.

Storage keeps files that are not notes, such as a trip's tickets and passes, encrypted like everything else. Add them from Photos, the camera, Files or the share sheet, and preview them right in the app.

The built-in assistant is in the app too. Ask it about your notes, have it edit them for you, or have it add and plan your to-dos. It is part of Virlow Pro; the assistant page has the details.

Shared workspaces

Workspaces you share work on iPhone and iPad, with the same Owner, Editor and Viewer roles as on the web. Share one with a long press, invite people by email, and see who is in it. If someone in a shared workspace bothers you, you can report or block them, and manage the people you blocked in Settings.

A tap away, all over your iPhone

  • Widgets on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen, plus a Control Center button.
  • Shortcuts and Spotlight. Virlow works in the Shortcuts app and in Spotlight search. Say "New note in Virlow" to Siri.
  • The share sheet. Save links, text and images from any app.

Note titles only show up in widgets and Spotlight if you turn that on.

Free and Pro

Virlow has two plans, Free and Pro, and your notes are never the thing you pay for. Virlow Pro adds AI memories, the memory graph, the built-in assistant, every AI app over the web, more room for files and more code runs. In the App Store, Pro is $7.99 a month or $71.99 a year. On the web, it is $6 a month billed yearly ($72), or $8 billed monthly. The pricing page compares the plans.
