Questions

Is there a trial?: The free plan is the trial, with no time limit. Upgrade when you want what Pro adds.
How do I upgrade or cancel?: In the app, under Settings, Usage. Payment and cancellation happen on Stripe's own pages. If you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I get a refund?: Yes. If Pro is not for you, write to us within 14 days of subscribing and we will refund your first payment in full. The terms have the details.
What happens to my memories if I go back to Free?: You keep them. The memories your AI saved stay readable, searchable and exportable, you can delete any of them, and your AI can still recall them. Saving new memories and updating existing ones needs Pro again.
What is the built-in assistant, and what is its allowance?: It is an assistant inside Virlow that finds, summarizes and edits your notes, rewrites text you select, reads files you attach and can search the web. It is part of Pro and comes with 1,000,000 tokens a month. A token is a few characters of what you ask, what the assistant reads and what it answers, so longer notes and attached files use more. The allowance starts again on the 1st of each month, and Settings shows how much is left. When it runs out, the assistant pauses until then; your notes and everything else keep working.
Are spreadsheets part of Free?: Yes. Creating and editing spreadsheets is on both plans.
Does paying change who can read my notes?: No. Your notes stay encrypted on your device before they reach us, on either plan. Payment is handled by Stripe, and Virlow never sees your card. Three features work differently, and all are optional: the hosted AI connector reads your notes on Virlow's server while you have it unlocked, so AI apps on the web can use them; the built-in assistant sends what you ask it, and the notes and files it reads to answer, to Anthropic; and running code sends that code to Virlow's code execution service unencrypted.
What is the founder offer?: The first 500 subscribers pay $48 a year instead of $72, for as long as they stay subscribed.
