tells you its shape.

Open a workspace and it shows you itself: what is due this week, what changed, what is still open. Arrange the blocks your way, or start from a Project, Research or Journal layout.

The dates come from a property you define on the workspace. With none defined, the calendar places notes by when you last changed them.

What to do next,
in one place.

The open tasks from your notes, gathered and ready to tick. The notes you pin, as sticky notes. A table of just the work in review. Drag a note onto a board column to move it along, onto a calendar day to give it a date, or onto Pinned to keep it in front of you.

03 / Start from Home

Everything in front of you,
before you open a thing.

Close every tab and Virlow shows Home: your pinned notes, the open tasks and what changed lately, across every workspace. Jot a thought into the line at the top and it is saved as a note while you carry on.

04 / Ask your notes

An assistant that
works on your notes.

Ask a question and it finds the note and answers with a link to it. Ask for a change and it edits the note, with an undo beside every change. The assistant is part of Virlow Pro.

In the pane

Find, summarize and edit notes, move and tag them, attach a file or search the web. It cannot delete anything.

In the editor

Select text and have it improved, shortened or rewritten your way. You see what would change before you accept it.

What you ask, and the notes it reads to answer, are sent to Anthropic to be answered. Notes it does not read stay encrypted.

Connect an MCP-compatible AI assistant to your Virlow notes and memories. Keep useful context in your workspace, not scattered across chat histories.

Local connector

Runs on your machine. Unlock there to give your assistant access without sending your master password to Virlow's server.

Hosted connector Optional

No local process to run. Off by default. When enabled and unlocked, the hosted session can decrypt your notes. Only connect an assistant you trust with that content.

An assistant can read content you make available to it. Its provider's data policies apply, whether you use a local or hosted connector.

Connected assistants remember your decisions, your preferences and who works on what, so you stop repeating yourself. Every memory is an encrypted note you can read, edit, pause or undo, and the graph shows how it all connects, and what was true when. AI memories are part of Virlow Pro.

07 / Private by construction

A workspace, not
an open book.

Your private note titles, contents and files are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before syncing. Your master password protects the key that unlocks them.

Privacy has boundaries worth understanding. Account metadata, workspace names and note tags are readable by the service, and an unlocked hosted AI session can read your notes. Optional code execution also sends the code you run to the execution service.
